How Are You Financing Your Horses?

Hope You’re Having A Great Day!

Have you thought about having a home based business to finance your horses?  Really, it just makes so much sense.  You want the freedom of time to spend with your animals.  You want to be able to make a lot of money, because let’s face it, horses can be very expensive.  Think about it,looking out of your home based office and watching your horses, what a stress reliever. I realize that not everyone can just quit their present job and jump into self employment, but there are many online businesses that you can work on while still being employed somewhere else.

I have always had my own business, not always an online business though.  I used to be out and about calling on clients, managing my sales reps, etc.  Even though it was my own marketing company, I still spent time away from the ranch and the horses. I always felt there had to be a better way, even though I really did have it good!

I started learning about how our feelings are such a vital part of what kind of life we are able to live.  This led me to looking at other options to success, and I discovered that there is so much more than what I had thought there was.  Looking back, I can now see that I could have had so much more success with much less stress.  Without the previous experiences, I wouldn’t have known what I really did desire for my life, now that’s a good thing!

I have some resources for you that have been very helpful to me in my journey to where I am today.  I hope you will take advantage of them.  My intent with this is to help each of you be able to spend more, and happier times with your precious horses without stressing about how to pay for everything.

Heading out to the barn, its supposed to rain, and want to get some mares & babies in.

Don’t You Just Love Spring?!

The guest house!

The guest house!

Good Morning To You!

Another precious filly joined us this morning!  All Spring the mares have been foaling from one to two weeks early, this one foaled exactly on the due date.  Goes to show when we think we’ve got it dialed in what these horses are going to do, the we get our lifes’ lesson.

If this mama mare had her choice, she’d take her baby far away so I’d not be able to get my hands on her.  You just don’t know how a first foal mare is going to behave after foaling.  I would sure rather have them over protective, like this one, than not caring at all.  She’ll settle down in a day or so.

One more mare to foal, and then can go back to sleeping regularly, well, that’s a good plan anyway!?  This last one is due on April 24, and she doesn’t look like she’ll go that long, but what do I know?

I’m going to the barn and try to get some pictures of the baby without the mare blocking the way.  We’ll see how that goes!  Have a beautiful day!!

Bright Future For New Horse Association?

Internet, horses | Posted by Barbara
Mar 28 2009

Glad You’re Here Today,

Have you heard about the National Team Roping Horse Association or NTRHA?  This a fairly new association which was founded to showcase the roping horses.  I was excited to hear about this a while ago.  What a great way to recognize these hard working horses who make it possible for the ropers to make their money.  In addition, this will open up a huge market for all performance horses.

Now I would love to think that everything that comes out of my barn is going to go out and excel in the cutting arena, but lets face it, that just doesn’t always happen in the real world of showing horses.  I also dearly love the reining horses, many of the same bloodlines produce cutting horses and reining horses.  Now with this new association, we will be able to see which bloodlines are producing the roping horse stars.  I really do hope the NTRHA is a big success.  Anything that showcases our performance horses has got to be a good thing!

Another cool thing about this association is, the horses competing do not have to be registered.  Like I’ve said before, all horses are beautiful, and there are some unregistered ones with tons of ability.  We’ll see how this goes.

Going to go hug my future stars??!!

Has Anyone Heard Of Thumper?

Happy Day To Everyone!

The horse chiropractor was at the ranch yesterday.  It’s time to get all the 2 year olds

adjusted for the first time.

If any of you have seen an adjustment done on horses, you

already know how fascinating this is to watch. The reaction of the youngsters to their

first treatment is a riot!  Some go into a trance, while others think they are going to

lose a limb. You can actually hear the joints & ligaments being put back into proper

alignment. When he gets to the rear legs, he can lift the entire rear of the horse off the

ground. By that time, the colts are loving this.  After the treatment, these horses are so

relaxed and peaceful. The next time they are ridden, you see a huge difference in their

performance and attitude.   We have, in my opinion, one of the very best Chiropractors in

the country.  He goes to Ruidoso, New Mexico for the races to work on those gorgeous

running Quarter Horses & you really can see a big difference in how they run after a

session with him.  More and more of the cutting horse people are seeing the benefits of

this kind of treatment.

An adjustment isn’t only good for performance horses.  All horses can get a great benefit

from this.  I highly recommend that if you have an equine chiropractor in your area, look

into the benefits that you precious horse friends will enjoy.
